Lionel Brown
Lionel has been with Clutch Automotive since day one—one of our OGs and a true cornerstone of who we are. He started at our Dairy Ashford location, where he spent nearly five years building a loyal following, and is now bringing that same leadership and energy to our Mason shop.
Born in Miami but raised in Houston since the age of one, Lionel fully embodies the H-Town spirit: hard-working, down-to-earth, loyal, and most importantly… Clutch. His journey in the automotive world began humbly at 20 years old, making $7 an hour sweeping floors. From there, he worked in various shops, constantly learning and growing. He joined what was then Cornerstone Automotive (now Clutch Dairy Ashford) as a general service tech focused on oil changes and quickly stood out. Thanks to his unbeatable customer service and work ethic, Lionel moved up to Service Advisor, and when the Clutch team took over the shop, we knew we had discovered a diamond in the rough.
His dedication and leadership didn’t go unnoticed—Lionel eventually became the General Manager, turning customers into lifelong fans. The number of guests who walk through our doors specifically asking for Lionel says everything about the impact he’s made.
Outside the shop, Lionel is a family man. He’s married to his wife Allyssa and is a proud father to his 18-year-old son Garrett and 2-year-old daughter Georgie. Both he and Allyssa are champion Tae Kwon Do athletes, avid UFC fans, and foodies who love a good dinner out. Rumor has it, he might even be convinced to tackle a Spartan Race someday.
Simply put, Lionel is the heartbeat of Clutch, and now he’s bringing that same energy to Mason.
