Lionel = Legend. Today is a perfect day to highlight him because it’s his 14th anniversary working at this the Dairy Ashford location. He is the heartbeat of what we do.
Lionel was born in Miami, but moved to Houston when he was 1. He has been a Houstonian since and exemplifies the H-Town spirit: hard-working, caring, down-to-earth, and… “Clutch”. He got into the auto repair industry when he was 20 years old, making $7/hour sweeping floors. Over the years, he worked in multiple shops learning more along the way. He started at Cornerstone Automotive (now our Dairy Ashford location) as a general service tech (primary oil changes) and rapidly worked his way up. Eventually, Lionel became a Service Advisor due to his great customer service skills. When the Clutch Team purchased Cornerstone, we truly found a “diamond in the rough." Lionel’s dedication, work ethic, and leadership skills landed him the general manager position. The amount of customers that come in asking for Lionel is uncanny, and speaks volumes about the impact he has made here. He is the face of the business and we couldn’t be more proud to say that!
He is married to his wife Allyssa and has two kids, an 18-year-old son, Garrett, and a 2-year-old daughter, Georgie. He and his wife are champion Tae Kwon Do athletes and enjoy watching UFC fights, going out to nice dinners, and one day might be convinced to run a Spartan Race obstacle run.
